At The River, we are a church marked by five defining characteristics. We are Presence-Driven, pursuing God above all else because His presence changes everything. We stand on the Authority of Scripture, trusting the Bible as our foundation and final authority for life and faith. We live in the tension of Grace + Truth, extending the mercy of Christ while holding fast to His Word. We champion Deliverance & Freedom, believing Jesus still sets people free today. And we practice Servant Leadership, following the example of Christ who came not to be served, but to serve.

LEADERS GO FIRST
We remain healthy by prioritizing daily time with God, pursuing purity, putting family first and protecting our sabbath. (Matthew 6:33, Proverbs 3:5-8)
WITH HIM, LIKE HIM
The call of the Lord was “be Holy as I am Holy.” The book of Hebrews teaches us that without Holiness, no one will see the Lord. We want to see God and we want to be like Him, so we consecrate ourselves to Him, drawing nearer to Him. (1 Peter 1:16, Hebrews 12:14, 2 Timothy 1:9)
IT’S NOT OPTIONAL
With our words, our time, and our attitudes, we honor all people. Including those less fortunate than ourselves, and those God has placed in authority, that we may reflect the meekness of Christ and the culture of heaven. (1 Peter 2:17, James 2:6, Hebrews 13:17)
NO STRINGS ATTACHED
We don’t give to get. we get to give. we freely sow our time, treasure, and talents from a heart of love with pure motives. (Luke 6:38, Proverbs 3:9, 2 Corinthians 9:7)
WE’RE IN THIS TOGETHER
We champion the older and empower the younger. this is a church for all people; always. (Job 12:12, 1 Timothy 4:12)
IT’S BIGGER THAN US
The great commission is not yet finished. we will push boundaries, invest our resources, and expand our reach for the sake of the gospel. to the ends of the earth. (Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 1:38, Psalm 2:8)
THIS MATTERS
Burning hearts set the world on fire. so we keep ours near the flame of god’s love. we promote those that are hungry for a move of god and excited to be a part. (Matthew 5:6, John 2:17)
BETTER TOGETHER
Faith is a magnet and factions are a deterrent. we stay in unity with one another by staying in unity with the holy spirit, for that is where the blessing of God comes. (Psalm 133, Ephesians 4:2-6)
LEAN INTO AWKWARD
We build trust, character, and relationships tomorrow by engaging in tough conversations today. (Matt. 18:15-20, Matt. 5:24)
GIVE YOUR ALL
We represent the lord well by doing the best we can with what we have, trusting him for increase as we steward well. (Daniel 6:3, Exodus 31:1-11, Col. 3:23-24)
COACHING CULTURE
We believe healthy feedback is a two-way street. we welcome opportunities to hear what is in your heart, and we commit to clarifying what is in ours. (Prov. 1:5, Prov. 19:20, James 1:19)
CELEBRATE THE WIN
If you’re not having fun you’re not doing it right. we celebrate every win, no matter how small, giving thanks to god and showing appreciation for others. (Hebrews 10:24-25, Romans 15:5-7, 1 Thessalonians 5:16)
We believe that the Bible is God's inspired Word. All Scripture is given by Inspiration of God, and Is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction. for instruction in righteousness. that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work
(2 Timothy 3:14-17.)
We believe In God. He Is the Creator. He Is our Father. He Is all-powerful, all-knowing, and ever-present. God is love, and He Is faithful to all His promises
(Genesis 1:1: John 116)
We believe in Jesus. He is the Son of Man and the Son of God. He died on the cross for our sins and He rose again on the third day. He will come again. He Is our Lord and Savior. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever.
(John 1:14; Hebrews 13:8.)
We believe in the Holy Spirit. He fills and empowers believers to do the work of Christ. We believe the fruit of the Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit are still present In the Church today
(John 14:12; Acts 1:8; Galatians 5:22-23; 1 Corinthians 12-14.)
We believe man was created in the Image of God. Man's purpose was to have fellowship with God and to have dominion over His creation. Adam's sin brought death to all mankind, but new life Is available through faith In Christ
(Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 5:12-21.)
We believe salvation is by grace through faith in Christ. Those who believe with their heart and confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord will be saved. Scripture instructs every person to repent and be baptized Into Christ.
(Ephesians 2:8-10; Romans 10:9-10; Acts 2:38.)
We believe the Church Is the Body of Christ. The Church Is a Spirit-birthed, Spirit-filled, and Spirit-empowered people. Our passion is the Great Commandment and our mission is the Great Commission
(Acts 2; Matthew 22:37-40; Matthew 28:18-21)
